Creator Getting Started Guide: Your First Campaign on Sparq

Welcome to Sparq. Whether you are a TikTok creator with 1,000 followers or 100,000, Sparq gives you access to brand campaigns that pay you for creating authentic content. This guide covers everything you need to know to get started, land your first campaign, and receive your first payout.

Setting Up Your Profile

Your Sparq profile is your resume for brand partnerships. Take the time to fill it out completely because brands will review it before accepting you into any campaign. Start with the basics: your name, TikTok handle, profile photo, and a short bio that describes your content niche.

Next, select your niches from the available categories: beauty, fashion, tech, food, fitness, home, lifestyle, gaming, pets, and travel. Be honest about where your content fits. Brands filter creators by niche, and misrepresenting yourself will only lead to poor-fit campaigns and rejected content.

If you have previous brand collaboration experience, highlight it. Include links to your best content and mention any notable brands you have worked with. Sparq tracks your platform stats over time, including completed campaigns, approval rates, and creator standing (Good, Warning, or Suspended), so building a strong track record from day one matters.

Understanding the Four Modules

Sparq offers four types of campaigns, each with different requirements and payout structures:

  • Cold Start: You purchase a product on TikTok Shop and get fully reimbursed plus earn a fee. Your purchase helps the brand build GMV and unlock outreach tiers. This is the easiest way to get started.
  • UGC Library: You create short-form video content that brands can license. You get paid per approved piece of content, and the brand can use it in their ads and marketing.
  • Paid Creator: Brands hire you for custom content with specific deliverables and deadlines. Compensation is negotiated directly and tends to be higher than other modules.
  • Live Creator: You host live shopping sessions featuring a brand's products. Great for creators who are comfortable on camera and can drive real-time sales.

Finding Your First Campaign

Head to the Campaign Marketplace from your creator dashboard. You can browse open campaigns and filter by module type, niche, and payout range. Cold Start campaigns are the most accessible starting point because they have lower barriers to entry and do not require a portfolio of past work.

When you find a campaign that interests you, click to view the full brief. Read it carefully. Check the product details, required deliverables, timeline, and payout. Make sure you can genuinely commit before applying. Brands track application-to-completion rates, and dropping out of campaigns hurts your standing.

Writing a Strong Application

When you apply to a campaign, you can include a short message to the brand. Use this wisely. A generic “I'd love to work with you” does not stand out. Instead, explain specifically why you are a good fit:

  • Mention your relevant niche experience
  • Reference specific products you have reviewed or content you have created in the category
  • Share your engagement rate or a metric that demonstrates your audience quality
  • Describe your creative approach for this particular product

Keep it concise. Three to four sentences is enough. Brands review dozens of applications, so make every word count.

What Brands Look For

Based on feedback from brands on Sparq, here are the factors that most influence their decisions:

  1. Niche alignment: Does your content match the product category?
  2. Content quality: Is your existing content well-lit, well-edited, and engaging?
  3. Reliability: Do you have a Good standing status and a strong completion rate?
  4. Engagement rate: Brands prefer creators with genuinely engaged audiences over those with high follower counts but low engagement.
  5. Professionalism: A complete profile, thoughtful applications, and timely communication go a long way.

Getting Paid

All payouts on Sparq are processed through Stripe. You will need to connect a Stripe account during onboarding. Once a brand approves your deliverable or verifies your review, the payment is released to your Stripe account. Processing typically takes 2-5 business days.

You can track all your earnings from the Earnings Dashboard, which breaks down payouts by module and campaign. Sparq does not take a cut from your creator payout. The platform fees are paid by the brand. What you see as your payout is what you receive, minus standard Stripe processing.
